Camilla Bonifai

Camilla is an advocate in our specialist advocacy service, 8 DAC Beachcroft Buildings (8DB).

Camilla has been working in civil litigation since 2019 and her practice now extends to different areas, such as casualty and motor injury, credit hire and insurance liability.

Camilla is regularly instructed on behalf of Claimants and Defendants to appear in the County Courts on a range of hearings, including stage 3s, infant approval hearings, CMCs, interlocutory hearings and quantum and liability Small Claim trials. Camilla is often instructed to draft applications, advices and all pleadings.

Camilla is available to provide training both internally and externally, having assisted in providing training on liability under the Animals Act and disease.

Relevant experience / notable cases: 

• F V F – Acting on behalf of the Claimant, Camilla successfully resisted an application to set aside judgment.
• J v N – Camilla advised the instructing solicitor on a Stage 3 portal case and the doctrine of mistake resulting in significant savings for the client.
• C v C – On this credit hire matter, Camilla was successful in having the claim against the Defendant dismissed on the grounds of need.
• W v A – Camilla was instructed on behalf of the Defendant in a road traffic accident Small Claim trial and was successful in having the claim dismissed.
