The focus of Anna George's work is in the Health Sector. She has extensive experience in advising HR professionals within several types of NHS organisations, including Foundation Trusts, Acute Trusts, Mental Health Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups and Commissioning Support Units.
Anna handles all areas of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious.
On the contentious side, Anna's expertise covers a wide spectrum of employment claims. She has handled simple unfair wages cases and has also acted as lead advisor in a wide range of high profile, complex and sensitive discrimination and whistleblowing issues, some of which have involved proceedings in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
Anna is also an experienced advocate and regularly represents clients in Employment Tribunals over the country.
On the non-contentious side, Anna advises on a range of areas including disciplinary/capability and grievance matters for medical and non-medical staff, largescale reorganisations and restructures, TUPE issues, Trust Board issues, Consultant and Junior Doctors pay and contracts, executive terminations.
Anna frequently delivers training to both HR and senior management teams. Subjects include legal update sessions to more bespoke sessions tailored to client demand, such as TUPE, restructuring, bullying and harassment workshops, discrimination and whistleblowing, flexible working/family friendly rights.
