A specialist in residential land acquisition and development, Gemma joined the firm in 2003 as a trainee, was welcomed into the partnership in 2015 and became a Member in 2017. Gemma will also continue to lead the Manchester Residential practice. Gemma’s clients include Crest Nicholson, Bellway, Vistry, Ilke and Barratt.
Gemma, commenting on her new role, said, “We are continuing to grow our Residential practice, increasing the number of lawyers and importantly also extending our geographical reach. I feel privileged to take on this role at such an exciting time both for our practice and the sector in general.
“Throughout my career I have benefitted from the advice of senior partners in the Residential team and I would like to thank them for their support and guidance.”
Robert Lee, Head of Real Estate at DACB, added, “It is especially pleasing to appoint home-grown talent to such a significant role for our Real Estate team. Gemma has shown exceptional energy and commitment to our clients right from the start and she continues to inspire. Our future is in good hands.”
Gemma will lead a 40-strong Residential team across Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Newcastle. DACB’s practice provides a comprehensive range of legal advice across the residential development cycle, including strategic land acquisition and plot sales.
