International law firm DAC Beachcroft has appointed Philip Harman as the new Location Head for its Manchester office.  Philip will take over from Ian McConkey and serve a three-year term effective from 1 January 2023.

Philip is a partner at DAC Beachcroft and heads up the Manchester Employment team.  He advises a wide variety of UK employers upon all aspects of employment law and practice including large-scale reorganisations, TUPE, executive departures and industrial relations.

In addition to supporting national clients, DACB’s Manchester office boasts a strong regional client base.  The office also supports its local community, investing time in helping young people with their educational needs through Action Tutoring and hosting events for the Manchester Cares community.  Last month, the office reinforced its long-standing commitment to inclusivity by launching its own ACCESS group, part of DACB’s wider racial inclusion network.

Commenting on his new role, Philip said, ‘‘I am delighted to be taking on the role of Location Head in Manchester.  This office has continued to go from strength to strength under Ian’s leadership, and I am committed to building on his achievements and supporting its ongoing success.  I look forward to working with all my colleagues to promote the high quality work we do for our exceptional client base, build on our progressive and modern approach to flexibility and employee engagement, and expand our profile, reputation and market share.”

DACB’s Senior Partner, Virginia Clegg, commented, “I want to thank Ian for his many years of leadership in Manchester and congratulate Philip as he takes up the reins as Location Head.  With Philip on board we will no doubt continue to see this office thrive and achieve further success.  I look forward to working with him on the next phase of development.”
