DAC Beachcroft has appointed the firm’s Head of Vehicle Hire & Damage, Emma Fuller, to lead the firm’s Newport office, in Imperial Park in Duffryn. She takes over from Sally Roff, who led the Newport office for three terms, beginning in 2012.
Emma has been based in the firm’s Newport office since it opened in 2009, in which time it has quadrupled in size to 136 colleagues, eight of whom are partners.
Newport is home to many of DAC Beachcroft’s Claims Solutions colleagues, who advise the UK’s leading insurers on claims across a number of areas; notable in Newport are its large Vehicle Hire and Damage, Motor Injury, Motor Claims Handling and Professional Indemnity teams.
In her new role as Location Head, Emma will guide the team through its transition to a new way of working as the firm implements its Flex Forward approach to work. The new approach introduces three types of dynamic, location-based working – office-focused, hybrid, and fully flex – and a more flexible approach to working hours, enabling colleagues to ‘glide’ their time.
Emma said, “I have spent my whole career at DAC Beachcroft, since I joined as a paralegal in 2005, and have been in our Newport office since it opened in 2009, so it’s an honour to take the lead.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues in Newport to continue the success we’ve seen in recent years, and to make DAC Beachcroft the place where the most talented members of the South Wales legal community want to work.”
Virginia Clegg, DAC Beachcroft’s Senior Partner, added, “Thanks to the work of everyone in our Newport team – and especially to Sally Roff, who has done an excellent job in nine years as Location Head – we find ourselves on a strong footing in South Wales. I look forward to working with Emma as she guides our Newport colleagues through the changes to our ways of working and beyond.”
