International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce the appointment of David Roberts to its market-leading health sector practice. David joins DAC Beachcroft from Capsticks, where he was a leading NHS Resolution partner and former head of their Leeds office.

David is a highly regarded partner with significant experience in clinical negligence matters, including advising on high-value obstetrics cases, managing serious incidents and appearing as an advocate in the Coroner’s Court to support clients through Inquests.

David joins DAC Beachcroft’s team of leading legal advisors to the health and social care sector, which has the largest defendant clinical negligence and medical malpractice team in the UK.

Nigel Montgomery, Head of Health at the firm, comments, “This appointment is a another strategic move as we look to grow and develop our teams for the future, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the market with both the capacity and capability to deliver our clients’ ambitions as they move into a period of strategic change. David, who is based in Leeds, brings years of clinical negligence expertise, an enviable and complimentary network of senior contacts and extensive leadership experience, which will enhance both our national and regional offering.”

David adds, “I am delighted to join DAC Beachcroft’s health sector practice. It is rightly renowned for the sheer scale of its work as trusted advisers to the health and social care sector, but over the last few years it has pulled away from competitors in terms of the depth and speciality it is able to offer through its strength of purpose in helping clients and colleagues succeed, creating sustainable value.

“The complimentary sectors in which the firm operates and particularly the insurance sector, ensures that health clients are provided with fresh perspectives in a changing world, which will be even more important post-COVID. I look forward to working closely with the teams and developing the already outstanding DAC Beachcroft reputation to the benefit of clients.”
