International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce the appointment of leading commercial, EU and competition partner Neil Warwick to bolster the firm’s offering across its trio of offices in the north of England.
Neil joins DAC Beachcroft’s national Corporate, Commercial & Regulatory team and will be based in the firm’s Newcastle office, working closely with colleagues in Manchester and Leeds. He was previously a partner at Square One Law, where he led the challenger law firm’s EU & competition offering, and prior to that he was a partner at Bond Dickinson.
John Williams, partner and Head of Business Advisory at DAC Beachcroft, said, “Neil’s leading national reputation and his experience, particularly in areas including state aid, structural funding, contentious procurement and, more recently, Brexit readiness, are a welcome addition as we look to further grow our commercial capabilities and client base.”
DAC Beachcroft’s Corporate, Commercial & Regulatory team is part of the firm’s Business Advisory division, which includes more than 125 specialist lawyers and offers a wide range of services including corporate, commercial, employment, information technology, public law and regulatory advice.
Neil’s hire demonstrates DAC Beachcroft’s continued commitment to meeting the needs of its clients, both domestically and internationally. Already in 2020 the firm has announced a combination with Spanish law firm Asjusa, adding three partners and a 20-strong team to its Madrid office. During 2019, the firm moved to its new global headquarters in London, opened offices in Paris and Belfast, relocated its Dublin team into new, larger premises, and made numerous strategic partner hires in the UK and abroad.
Neil commented, “I’m delighted to join the team at DAC Beachcroft. The clients I advise require a full-service, commercial firm with a national and international offering. DACB’s well established reputation in the North, coupled with its forward-thinking entrepreneurial ethos, provides an exciting opportunity for me to grow my practice further.”
