International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce its Members have re-elected David Pollitt unopposed for a second term as Managing Partner.  David will begin his new five-year term on 1 November 2020.

Under David’s leadership, DAC Beachcroft has experienced a period of transformation and growth.  Financially, the firm has seen outstanding year-on-year revenue growth, increased profitability and improved liquidity.  DAC Beachcroft recently announced its unaudited results for the year ended 30 April 2020, which showed total turnover of £258 million, profit before tax of £56 million, and profit per member of circa £590k, demonstrating six successive years of growth.

The firm has expanded its international footprint, launching an office in Paris in 2019, joining forces with a market-leading healthcare law firm in Madrid, and adding corporate/commercial and competition capabilities in Dublin.  The firm has grown domestically as well, with a new office in Belfast and significant team hires in recent months in London and Glasgow.

David has also overseen significant investments in technology and innovation at DAC Beachcroft, including the set-up of a new Practice Management System, the launch of a dedicated Business Improvement and Change team, and the move to agile working across the business, which enabled DACB to shift quickly and easily to home-working during the COVID-19 pandemic with no interruption to client service.

David said, “It has been my privilege to lead DACB during the last five years.  We have taken steps to grow and nurture our business with a view to future-proofing it and making it as resilient as possible – for the benefit of our clients, our colleagues, and our communities.  What we have achieved during this time is down to our collective adherence to our clear and consistent purpose, strategy and cultural principles.

“Looking ahead, we have plans to continue our international expansion, find more innovative ways to serve our clients, respond to consolidation in the market and ensure we continue to attract talented people, irrespective of background.  We are a confident, ambitious firm, able to withstand any challenges that come our way, and I am looking forward to another term to continue building a modern, international business, centred around our clients and our colleagues.”

Senior Partner Virginia Clegg said, “Congratulations to David on his re-election.  Over the last five years he has proven himself to be a highly effective leader and driver of change.  It has been my pleasure to work alongside someone with such a strong sense of who we are as a firm and the strategic vision to take us where we want to go.”
