International law firm DAC Beachcroft LLP is pleased to have been reappointed as sole UK construction advisers and to three further legal advisory panels for leading UK housebuilder, Bellway Homes.
The new appointments see the firm renew its role as Bellway's sole provider of non-contentious and contentious construction legal advice. DAC Beachcroft has also been named again on the housebuilder's panels for Company Secretarial and Corporate Governance and for Land, which comprises the Central and Southern Regions for property, planning and plot sales.
DAC Beachcroft is a market-leader in the residential development sector with offices across the country, enabling it to provide Bellway's various divisions with a high-quality, seamless service.
The firm will work with Bellway on all aspects of land acquisition, planning and plot sales, advising on overage, conditional & unconditional contracts, option agreements, promotion agreements and disposals of development sites to affordable housing providers as well as collaboration and joint venture agreements. It will also continue to advise on the full range of contentious and non-contentious construction legal work, including development agreements, project management agreements, design and build contracts, registered provider build contracts and supply chain contracts. All four appointments carry a two-year term with effect from 1 October.
FTSE 250-listed Bellway - known as the 'nation's local builder' - is the fourth largest housebuilder in the UK and has built in excess of 100,000 homes over the last 70 years. The company has enjoyed sustained growth in recent years around the country and, in particular, in and around the London region. Bellway's high standard of service and build-quality has also been recognised by the National House Builder Federation with the award of a Five Star rating for Customer Satisfaction.
DAC Beachcroft Construction Partner, James Harrison, who is also the firm's Client Relationship Partner for Bellway, said: "We are delighted to have been reappointed by Bellway, a client with which we share core values - quality, service and trust. It is a pleasure to work with them. This is another significant milestone for us in our relationship with Bellway and we look forward to helping to propel the company through the next exciting phase of its development."
Simon Scougall, Group General Counsel and Company Secretary of Bellway Homes, commented: "Our relationship with DAC Beachcroft is growing from strength to strength and we are looking forward to continuing to build our strong working relationships with them on our new development projects at an exciting time for Bellway."
