DAC Beachcroft Completes Acquisition of Complex Injury Teams from Clyde & Co in London

Published 21 febrero 2017

International law firm DAC Beachcroft LLP has completed the acquisition of two leading Complex Injury teams comprising six Partners and 21 legal professionals from Clyde & Co to join its Claims Solutions Group (CSG) in London.

The new partners joining DAC Beachcroft's London office are Nigel Adams, John Goodman, David Knapp, Danielle Singer, Michelle Traxler and Tom Walshaw.  Both of these highly-regarded teams will have completed their move to DAC Beachcroft by 1 March 2017.

Both teams offer best-in-class expertise in the casualty, abuse and catastrophic injury areas as well as general insurance work and are ranked in Tier 1 by leading legal directories, the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.

They join DAC Beachcroft CSG, the market-leading, Band 1-ranked insurance claims business, which provides specialist claims, health, safety and environment and motor prosecutions services to insurers and corporate clients.  Based in London, they will benefit from the firm's extensive network, enabling them to service clients at a local, regional, national and international level.

This is the latest significant investment by DAC Beachcroft following the acquisitions of a seven-partner Casualty Claims team and a four-lawyer Professional Indemnity (PI) team from DWF in Newcastle last summer.

DAC Beachcroft Managing Partner, David Pollitt, said: "We're delighted to welcome a team of this calibre to our London office, which brings with it undoubted quality and a long track record of high performance.  DAC Beachcroft prides itself on attracting the best available legal talent in its chosen business sectors and jurisdictions and this is no exception. The arrival of this team is the latest evidence of our continuing drive to seek investments that help sustain and build on the service we provide to our clients."

Craig Dickson, DAC Beachcroft CSG Chief Executive, said: "This is a very positive move for us, representing, as it does, the latest significant investment in our business and one that will enhance our already market-leading practice in the fields Casualty and Complex Injury work.  DAC Beachcroft and Claims Solutions Group (CSG) are widely recognised as pre-eminent advisors to the insurance market and this acquisition will serve as the latest evidence of our aim to provide sustainable, long-term value to our clients."
