Our work includes seeding assets, buying and selling assets into and out of funds, re-development advice, financing, granting leases and consents, lettings, lease variations and re-gears, as well as working with our property litigation colleagues to provide advice on vacant possession strategies, termination of tenancies, insolvency, dilapidations, forfeiture, debt recovery, breach of covenant and 1954 Lease Renewals.

Our commitment to collaboration is key to our collective success. Your team will include asset and tenant champions, whose job it is to know everything about the asset and particular characteristics, as well as specific occupiers. Our long involvement with many developers means that we frequently bring strong asset memory.

Importantly, as part of one of the largest real estate teams in the country, we are able to work simultaneously on specialist projects and day-to-day work, the latter in particular supported by specialist colleagues in our portfolio management team for large volume matters.

  • Advising Royal London on their real estate assets in two sectors – high street retail and retail warehousing. We provide the full range of legal services including investment, development, commercial contracts and leases.
  • Landsec and Unibail Rodamco Westfield are two of our largest, long standing clients in the sector. We provide asset management services to Landsec at 3 UK shopping centres and to Westfield at all their UK destination centres. We also provide commercialisation, litigation and development services.
  • We are advising on lettings and asset management for Lend Lease at Elephant Park including block precedents, retail, leisure and community office lettings and Estate leases.
  • We advise Quintain on lettings and asset management at Wembley Park and the London Designer Outlet.
  • We are instructed by a specialist London developer on investment and asset management matters on their Estate in EC1, comprising approximately 100,000 sq ft of office space over a campus of 3 separate buildings, having an approximate value of £200m.
