Expert Navigators in a Changing Landscape – Your route to integrated healthcare

Published 27 mayo 2016

Two years on from the publication of the NHS Five Year Forward View, Trusts are still looking for new ways to achieve sustainable improvements in patient care whilst creating a truly integrated wellbeing service. However, the size and complexity of the NHS means that local solutions provide the best route to integration – addressing the complexities at a more manageable scale, without offering up a single solution but, instead, creating a need for tests and trials in pursuit of the best way forward.

At this year's NHS Confederation Conference we will be launching good practice guidance, titled The Route to Integrated Healthcare, which discusses the strategic issues in addressing potential barriers to innovation; focussing on commissioning integration, contracting and corporate structures, and procurement and competition. This is the first in a series of guidance being released this year by DAC Beachcroft which will comprise a series of advice sheets covering 14 key issues relating to the strategic, operational, regulatory and risk aspects of generating efficiencies in line with the NHS Five Year Forward View.
