Who are we?

Our Complex Property team is a product within our national CSG–Property service line. Our Complex Property Team is a cluster of technical specialist property products including Third Party Property Damage and Coverage, First Party Coverage and Counter Fraud, Agricultural, Subrogated Recoveries over £100,000 and Street Furniture Claims. The Complex Property Team draws on the process efficiencies of our Recoveries Team (where appropriate), but adding individual expertise and personal relationship to the higher value/more complex claims. The Complex Property team utilises the firm’s expertise such as the costs product, enforcement product and the international team in London.

Coverage

Our market-leading policy coverage and indemnity team deals with all aspects of coverage work, including advising on compliance with claims conditions, non-disclosure and misrepresentation, suspensive conditions, disputes as to quantum/average and reinstatement, subrogation, litigated coverage disputes, regulatory investigations (including Financial Ombudsman Service) and mis-selling claims, as well as strategic advice on forthcoming developments.

Recoveries over £100k

We support insurers and corporates in handling volume and value property subrogated recoveries. Our cost effective market leading product, streamlines processes through bespoke case management systems and the use of alternative dispute resolution and/or litigation where appropriate. We handle all types of property recoveries from relatively modest household claims, to multimillion pound global market corporate claims.

Many insurers now trade in the global market, to meet this need we have invested in a global subrogation network. Recoveries are crucial to the cash flow of any business, and foreign jurisdiction recoveries can be seen as too much hassle, or too costly to pursue.
