Geetika advises public and private sector clients on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

Geetika's particular areas of expertise include staff re-organisations and TUPE transfers on business acquisitions, property transactions and outsourcing, including the transfers of hundreds of staff.

Geetika has extensive experience of advising complex Employment Tribunal claims relating to discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistle-blowing. She also represents clients in Civil Court litigation in relation to breach of contract claims and injunctive relief (up to the Supreme Court).

Geetika's advisory practice covers a broad spectrum of employment law issues including management of complex disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence processes and changing terms and conditions. Her experience includes a client secondment to the role of Head of Employment Relations in a public sector organisation employing over 8,000 employees.

Geetika regularly provides external training, both bespoke sessions specifically tailored for individual clients or at external seminars including the White Paper Conference for employment lawyers and HR professionals and HPMA sessions, which are specifically geared to health sector professionals.

    Relevant experience includes advising:

    • A Clinical Commissioning Group on the reprocurement of primary teaching services, which included an analysis of the applicability of TUPE/COSOP and other employment related matters for the purposes of the tendering process.
    • A private healthcare provider on outsourcing certain services worth in excess of £120 million.
    • A US owned technology company on claiming under the provisions of a TUPE indemnity provided to them following the take-over of outsourced services.
    • On a ground-breaking cross-border project under which a global pharmaceutical company granted a licence to a competitor for development of its leading gene therapy product to treat blindness and dealing with the implications of TUPE (or equivalent legislation across 12 jurisdictions in EMEA and Latin America).
