Tess Jones is an insurance lawyer in our Bristol office.
Tess specialises in complex and catastrophic claims arising out of both motor and EL/PL risks. She handles claims for various insurers and specialises in cases involving complex injury such as neurotrauma, chronic pain/catastrophising, CRPS, polytrauma, fatal accidents, amputations and complex special damages. She has developed particular expertise in claims involving difficult issues of causation particularly subtle brain injury, audio vestibular injury and psychiatric injury. She regularly deals with contentious liability issues (such as those arising out of complex or unusual accidents, such as inevitable accidents, intervening acts or workplace stress). She is able to use her broad range of experience to the client's advantage in settlement negotiations.
In recent years she has handled cases valued at up to £2 million as primary fee earner and assisted on cases in excess of this figure. Tess also regularly contributes to our quarterly Catastrophic Injury Review.
Tess qualified in 1998 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2014.
