Richard handles a catastrophic injury caseload, including spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries arising out of motor, employers liability and public liability claims. He is also a leading authority on Periodical Payments Orders and discount rate cases both here and in outlying jurisdictions.
He frequently advises individual insurers on a range of PPO issues, and is also responsible for agreeing the wording of and administering PPOs for a number of insurers. He regularly gives presentations on PPOs and co-authored the International Underwriting Association's PPO Study published in November 2011.
