Richard Flinn is a general insurance litigation lawyer in our Wellington office. He specialises in professional indemnity and statutory liability defence work and subrogated recoveries.
Richard’s recent experience includes:
acting for a firm of structural engineers in High Court proceedings, professional disciplinary proceedings, and in the Building Act determination process where claimants allege tilt-slab commercial buildings are under-designed and pose earthquake risk;
multiple successful recoveries against local authorities, engineers and builders for building damage caused by Southland/Otago snowstorm; and
negotiating withdrawal of charges against forestry principal where client was alleged to have breached duty to ensure the safety of deceased contractor.
Richard qualified in 2006 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2011.
