Prakash Kerai has supported organisations on their technology and commercial arrangements since 2003.
He specialises in technology deals, advising on all types of technology contracts e.g. software licences, SaaS and hosting arrangements, implementation projects, development projects, outsourcing deals. He has particular expertise in projects with complex contractual, technical, and financial aspects.
Recently, Prakash was DAC Beachcroft’s lead advisor on a multi-hundred million pound strategic technology rollout and upgrade programme by one of the UK’s largest mobile communications companies. Prakash also advised on various technology and telecoms procurements for one of the largest global mutual fund and financial services groups.
Prakash has worked in industry having had in-house legal roles at Dell, Business Objects (now SAP), and Royal Mail. At Dell, he was legal lead in implementing Dell’s innovative laptop reseller deal with The Carphone Warehouse and AOL Broadband.
At Cerno, Prakash helps organisations to save money on their arrangements with the major software vendors. He advises on the commercial and contractual aspects of software licensing in the context of new procurements, re-procurements, and vendor-initiated software audits.
