A paraplegic claim settled in a JSM in 2015 on the basis of a lump sum and ppo's for life together with provisional damages;
Axa Insurance UK plc v Norwich Union Insurance Ltd (2007) where he represented the successful defendant in one of the leading cases on whether motor or employers' liability insurance should respond to a serious personal injury claim.
Owen qualified in 1989 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2002.
In particular he is ranked in Chambers UK 2016 and is described as " a top quality defence solicitor as well as "very user friendly and personable."
He is also profiled in the Legal 500 2015 where he leads the Large Loss team in Leeds which retains its Tier 1 ranking for Yorkshire and the Humber.
