Olu Dansu is an Associate in the London Global team based in our London City office.
He specialises in defending high value property damage, construction and product liability claims as well as pursuing subrogated recovery actions. He advises on all aspects of policy coverage including complex coverage issues and potentially fraudulent claims. Olu also regularly advises on foreign claims involving disputes arising outside the jurisdiction.
Olu's experience includes:
Acting for the claimants in the TCC and Court of Appeal in the case of Iliffe v Feltham Construction Ltd & Ors (2015) which reviewed the use of summary judgment applications in multi-party proceedings;
Advising a major insurer in respect of a fraudulent multi-million pound property damage claim, which resulted in criminal proceedings in the case of R v Hindry (2014);
Advising a major insurer in respect of coverage and liability on a substantial product liability claim involving over 100 claimants;
Acting for a major insurer on a policy coverage dispute at the Commercial Court involving the interpretation of policy conditions relating to the scope of an insurers' liability to reinstate a property awaiting redevelopment at time of loss.
