Lucy is a leading partner and has broad experience in both commercial property and residential development.
In the first five years of qualification, Lucy specialised in major commercial development projects, commercial and investment work, and landlord and tenant.
Since then Lucy has specialised in strategic residential development projects for over 20 years, acting for both major house builders and land owners, dealing with complicated land acquisition agreements with overage provisions, option agreements, promotion agreements, and disposals of development sites to other developers. Her larger projects have also involved collaboration and joint venture agreements both between landowners and consortia of developers.
The scale of the projects that Lucy has been involved with has required her to understand all the practical, financial, planning and governance issues that are involved in delivery of large scale development in changing economic climates.
The increasing tendency for local authorities not to adopt of facilities has required Lucy to establish long term management schemes. Lucy is experienced in contractual joint ventures, and the establishment and management of LLP and project management agreements.
Through her years of experience, Lucy has also been involved in drafting Section 106 Agreements working closely with the planning team. She has worked on projects that involve the acquisition, planning and disposal of developments up to 10,000 dwellings.
