Lindsay is a Commercial Dispute Resolution lawyer in our Bristol office.
She specialises in financial services and has extensive experience in dealing with claims against financial advisers, accountants, wealth management firms and other financial institutions.
Lindsay's experience includes:
Regularly defending claims against a variety of financial services professionals, and D&O policies on behalf of London Market Insurers;
Defending a variety of complaints taken to litigation or referred to the FOS, as well as advising on jurisdictional and FSCS matters;
Dealing with alleged mis-selling of insurance policies and investment products, such as the Keydata litigation by the FSCS, ARM, Arch Cru, STAX, UCIS, traded life policies, geared traded endowment plans (GTEPS), property investment funds, VCTs, film finance partnership schemes, tax avoidance schemes, endowments and pension schemes, among others;
Working on a large-scale mortgage review project for an in-house compliance team and the follow-up investigation into an adviser;
Advising insurers on policy coverage issues, defending coverage challenges and dealing with disputes.
Lindsay also has many years' experience in advising commercial clients on their business disputes in the UK and abroad. She helps clients in a variety of sectors (including credit reference agencies, financial services, health, technology, industrial and consumer goods and services) to resolve commercial disputes. Lindsay has advised on consumer complaints and commercial transactions and disputes. She has also worked within the first response team at an insurer dealing with a national data-loss incident. Lindsay has participated in mediations and other alternative dispute resolution procedures to achieve commercial outcomes.
Lindsay qualified in 2006 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2002.
