Kathryn Hargreaves has experience in a broad range of commercial property matters, acting both for private and public sector clients in connection with all aspects of freehold and leasehold transactions. She also has valuable experience in planning matters.

Examples of her experience include:

  • Drafting and advising Partnerships for Schools on property related provisions in standard “Building Schools for the Future” documentation including developing a suite of standard documents to integrate Voluntary Aided schools into the BSF programme;
  • Advising a number of local authorities on the property aspects of their BSF projects, including the approach to take on title issues;
  • Advising the Trustees of a voluntary controlled school in relation to the disposal of the existing school site and the acquisition of a new site;
  • Advising the Department of Health on a major redevelopment scheme, including advice relating to site assembly and overage;
  • Advising the Primary Care Trusts on Liverpool and Bradford LIFT projects;
  • Advising United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust on a major residential scheme for key hospital workers;
  • Advising United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust on the property aspects relating to the provision of a sterile services unit from Lincoln County Hospital as part of the National Decontamination Services Project;
  • Advising Foundation, NHS and Primary Care Trusts on all aspects of their freehold and leasehold property portfolios including management issues arising out of their property portfolio, and Estatecode compliance;
  • Advising Her Majesty’s Courts Service in relation to the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold properties; occupational leases and licences; other management issues;
  • Advising a major national retailer on their property development transactions;
  • Advising a national shopping centre owner as part of our firm wide real estate team
  • Advice on s106, s278 agreements and other planning matters.
