James Howett is an associate in our Birmingham office. He specialises in defending major loss, high value personal injury claims for our insurer clients.
He deals with the whole range of litigation matters on casualty and motor claims, from investigating claims at their inception through to proceedings at court.
In recent years, James has advised clients in a variety of areas, including the haulage, service, care and construction sectors. He has a particular interest with claims in construction, sport, education and logistics.
James regularly represents clients at mediations, during settlement negotiations and at inquests.
A regular speaker at client training events, James has advised on many aspects of personal injury law and conducts a surgery for one of our insurer clients, where he helps field a wide variety of queries on liability, quantum and indemnity issues.
James qualified in 1998 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2001.
