Emma has specialised in employment law since qualification in 2002. She advises on a broad spectrum of complex employment issues, including executive terminations, bonus claims, TUPE transfers and reorganisations and also discrimination claims.
She has considerable experience of dealing with employment aspects of corporate transactions and commercial contracts, as well as advising on contractual disputes.
In addition, Emma heads up the Business Immigration Unit and regularly advises global organisations on bringing overseas nationals into the UK to work, and on eligibility to work requirements and compliance. In particular, she advises on licence applications and sponsorship under the Points Based System (including intracompany transfers) and also licence suspensions and revocations.
Emma represents employers before employment tribunals and provides training to HR professionals, compliance teams and in-house lawyers on both employment law and business immigration.
