Caroline Cherry is a partner in the Professional Risks Department leading the Professional Indemnity Claims Handling Unit for the practice. This is a highly specialised team that provides a dedicated claims handling service on behalf of Professional and Financial Lines Insurers and their Insureds. The team provides a proactive and cost-effective service, managing PI, D&O and Cyber claims by way of early analysis of liability and quantum, coverage and strategies.
Caroline also has experience in dealing with claims against a wide variety of professionals (including claims against solicitors, insurance brokers, estate agents, surveyors and construction professionals) and an expertise in advising on D&O, Trustee Indemnity and EPL related claims, regularly dealing with coverage disputes that arise out of the same.
Caroline frequently advises on issues such as breach of warranty / non-disclosure, qualifying directors, capacity, allocation and advancement. Caroline has experience of a wide range of D&O claims, ranging from those against large financial institutions, to those against SME's and Right to Manage companies.
Caroline also works closely with the Employment lawyers in order to monitor coverage for EPL claims as matters progress.
