Barry Reynolds



Barry Reynolds leads DAC Beachcroft Dublin's employment team. He advises on all aspects of employment and industrial relations issues from recruitment to termination. He defends employers at the Workplace Relations Commission and in the High Court. He has particular expertise in guiding employers through internal investigations and other processes so as to deliver robust and timely solutions.                   

His most recent experience includes:

  • Advising on complex severance and long term incentive disputes;
  • Strategic and collective issues in large TUPE transfers, to include drafting innovative contractual clauses to assist in managing risk and employee and union engagement;
  • Advocacy in Unfair Dismissal claims before the Workplace Relations Commission.

Barry has lectured in many areas of employment law to both the public sector and private sector including at the Law Society of Ireland, Dublin Solicitors Bar Association, Public Affairs Ireland, and various initiatives with leading training organisations.  

Also, he has designed and run workshops for businesses, including updates on Irish employment and comparative law, discrimination in recruitment, performance management, transfer of undertakings, redundancies, corporate bullying, and protected disclosures.

He has written briefings and articles on a variety of employment law issues.


Barry is recommended in Legal 500 Europe, Middle East & Africa 2015 for his "single-minded perseverance".
