Antony Holden is an insurance lawyer in our Auckland office.  He specialises in professional liability, directors and officers, construction, public and products liability, and property loss.

Antony‘s recent experience includes:

  • acting for Zurich in 2 successful Supreme Court cases: Firm PI 1 Limited v Zurich Australian Insurance Limited [2014] NZSC 147 (interpretation of a MD/BI property policy); and Zurich Australian Insurance Ltd v Cognition Education Limited [2014] NZSC 188 (political risk policy; breach of claims conditions); and
  • acting for Lloyd’s underwriters in establishing the extra-territorial application of s9 Law Reform Act 1936 in Bridgecorp Limited (in receivership and liquidation) v Certain Lloyd’s Underwriters under policy B0701L505809 [2014] NZCA 571.
