Andrew has extensive experience of advising on commercial transactions, information technology and all service related matters, particularly in connection with systems procurement, outsourcing and related supply chain.
He has acted for both buyers and suppliers of information technology on different projects and leads this area of practice in the firm's Manchester office.
Andrew has particular interest and experience of advising in connection with information technology transactions in the UK healthcare sector. He advises on related public procurement law and data protection issues as part his work.
Recently Andrew has:
Advised a US based, NASDAQ listed, supplier of software, in its supply of an electronic patient record system to an NHS Foundation Trust - the project covered the supply, implementation, test, support and ongoing monitoring of "generally available" software;
Advised a supplier of EPOS solutions to the retail sector;
Advised a supplier of software as a service to the recruitment sector – the software provides CRM functionality;
Advised an NHS Foundation Trust in its procurement of a patient administration system - advice covered key aspects of the procurement, including advising on and drafting procurement documents as well as giving advice to the structure of competitive dialogue and the contract.
Andrew is a noted or leading individual in both the Legal 500 2015 and Chambers and Partners 2016, Information Technology law. Chambers states: “Sources say [Andrew] is "very measured and assured, holds our line without being aggressive and is very good at creating 'win-win' situations."
