International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce it has won yet another award for its innovations – this time the Law Society’s ‘Excellence in Practice Promotion’ award for its Customer Care Package.
The Customer Care Package is a series of short, simply-scripted animations that assists the firm’s insurer clients’ customers through the claims litigation process. The videos, which now cover all UK jurisdictions, guide the layperson, explaining what, as a party or witness, they need to do, why and when. They demystify a daunting process and use technology to improve the journey insurers’ customers and witnesses experience as they go through the claims process.
Presenting the award to DACB, the award judges described the “innovative and unique” product as a “standout entry”, noting that “this is a firm that cares about the clients it has and the quality of its interactions”.
Pete Allchorne, partner and Head of DACB’s Innovations Lab, said, “This product has proven hugely popular with our insurer clients and the feedback we have had from them and their customers has been exceptional. To be recognised now by the Law Society is truly the icing on the cake. We take great pride in nurturing creativity and collaboration and DACB, working hand in hand with our clients. New ideas like our Customer Care Package can only be developed to fruition when innovation is at the heart of the process.”
DACB has a strong track record on innovation, backed by number of recent award wins. This year, the firm won ‘Outstanding Training Innovation’ at the Legal Innovation Awards for its O-Shaped Lawyer training programme, and its career returners programme, Reconnect, was named ‘Most Innovative HR Initiative’ at the People in Law Awards.
In 2020, BAIL, an AI-powered tool which helps DACB’s insurer clients quickly, accurately and consistently resolve liability in motor accidents, won the ‘Excellence in Technology & Innovation’ award at the Law Society Excellence Awards. It was also highly commended in the ‘AI Innovation’ category at the Legal Innovation Awards.
