DAC Beachcroft’s Head of Insurance, Helen Faulkner, named one of The Lawyer’s Hot 100 for 2020

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is delighted to announce that its Head of Insurance, Helen Faulkner, has been featured in this year’s Hot 100, the annual survey by The Lawyer which reports on the ‘most daring, innovative and creative’ lawyers in the UK over the past year.

Helen has been described by The Lawyer as “superlative at connecting people, putting teams together and engendering collaboration” and “one of the driving forces behind the growth across all of the key lines in her sector group”.

Helen has led DAC Beachcroft’s Insurance practice since 2015, overseeing Insurance from a global perspective. Under her leadership, Insurance has become the fastest growing sector at DAC Beachcroft and achieved stellar financial results in the last financial year, delivering revenues of £154 million. In the last year she oversaw the considerable growth of the firm’s Global Insurance team in London, which saw Liam O’Connell and a seven-strong team of senior insurance lawyers join from Norton Rose Fulbright.

Helen has also been instrumental in expanding the firm’s international insurance capabilities, working closely with Gustavo Blanco who leads the International business. Recently, the firm has launched offices in 2019 in Paris focused on both the global and domestic insurance and industrial risks sector. In January 2020 DAC Beachcroft announced a combination with Spanish law firm Asjusa, adding three partners and a 20-strong team of healthcare-focused professional liability and insurance lawyers to its Madrid office.

Helen is an active mentor in the business and is passionate about developing and nurturing talent at the firm, driving collaboration across the insurance group and promoting female talent across DAC Beachcroft and the Insurance sector.
