DAC Beachcroft's international insurance team has enjoyed a strong set of rankings in the recently published 2019 Chambers Guide to Latin America.

For Latin America-wide work led from its London office, the firm retained its Band 1 ranking, in recognition of the high value and complex claims handled for international reinsurers across all lines of business. Mark Kendall and Anthony Menzies are Band 2 ranked lawyers. Duncan Strachan is ranked in Band 3 and Lucy Dyson is highlighted as an associate to watch.

The firm's Madrid office receives similar praise from Chambers Spain in recognition of its importance as a hub for Latin America work. Both José María Pimentel and José María Álvarez-Cienfuegos are ranked in Band 3 and recognised for their contribution in developing the firm’s strength when it comes to advising on Latin America.

In Chile, the firm achieved a Band 2 ranking. Office managing partner and Latin America Head, Andrés Amunátegui, is also ranked in Band 2, with clients praising him as "dedicated, diligent, thoughtful and always responsive". The firm's Colombia office is similarly ranked in Band 2 with Camila de la Torre awarded a Band 2 ranking and recognised for "her long-standing experience in the market." DAC Beachcroft Mexico is also ranked.

Among the firm's network of associated offices and colleagues across the region, law firms López Saavedra in Argentina are Band 3 and BLP are in Band 2 for work in Central America, while Pedro Richter in Peru is a Band 2-ranked lawyer. Its partner firm in Brazil, Demarest, has risen to Band 2 in recognition of the strength of the insurance practice led by Marcia Cicarelli, a Band 3 ranked lawyer.

Gustavo Blanco, international development director at DAC Beachcroft, comments: "Our international team continues to grow and strengthen across Latin America, thanks to the support of our clients across the region and in the international hubs in London, Madrid, Germany and Miami. The collaboration between our network of 11 offices – the largest Latin America network of any international law firm – means we stand out among our peers for providing a truly seamless service."

DAC Beachcroft will be welcoming lawyers from its offices across Latin America to London, 26-28 November 2018, as part of its programme of events for DAC Beachcroft International Week. Please contact Gustavo Blanco for more information or to arrange a meeting with one of our experts.
