International law firm DAC Beachcroft has announced that its claims business in England and Wales (DAC Beachcroft Claims Ltd) has been awarded a licence by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to operate as an alternative business structure (ABS).
The licence, effective from today (2 September 2015), applies only to DAC Beachcroft Claims Ltd, the firm's Claims Solutions business in England and Wales. It does not apply to DAC Beachcroft LLP or DAC Beachcroft International Ltd, both of which will continue to be regulated as law firms, nor to any of the firm's regulated entities outside England and Wales.
Craig Dickson, CEO of DAC Beachcroft Claims Solutions Group, said: "Securing an ABS licence for our claims business in England and Wales gives us greater flexibility and capability, in the future, to adapt to changes and opportunities in this complex and challenging market."
