Simon, who joins from RPC, will be based at the firm's Bristol office and is a highly skilled medical malpractice lawyer specialising in the defence of clinical claims for insurers (mainly Lloyd's syndicates) and corporates, policy coverage advice and acting as an advocate at Inquests for insured entities.

Commenting on the appointment, partner and Head of Clinical Risk at DAC Beachcroft, Matthew McGrath, said: "We are delighted to welcome Simon Perkins as a partner into our growing Clinical Risk team. His specialist knowledge of private sector medical malpractice enhances our offering to insurer clients, and compliments our dominant practice for the NHS."
