DAC Beachcroft Publishes Financial Results for 2014/15
International law firm DAC Beachcroft has today published its unaudited, provisional results for the last financial year ending 30 April 2015.
Published 8 July 2015
International law firm DAC Beachcroft LLP is pleased to announce the results of its recent election process to appoint a new management team.
Virginia Clegg will be the firm's new Senior Partner, taking over in the role from Simon Hodson. David Pollitt will be the firm's new Managing Partner, replacing current incumbent, Paul Murray. Both new appointments will take effect from 1 November.
Virginia is currently the Regional Senior Partner for Leeds and a member of the DAC Beachcroft LLP Board. She has played a vital role in leading national teams for some of DAC Beachcroft's biggest clients and has a deep understanding of its business operations, inspiring and developing teams to deliver the firm's strategic goals.
David, who will be based in London, is currently Sector Head for Insurance, Chairman of Claims Solutions Group (CSG) and an Executive Board member. He has previously also sat on the DAC Beachcroft LLP Board. Under his leadership, the firm's insurance sector has grown stronger in reputation and capabilities, not least through the opening of new offices in emerging markets such as Colombia and Chile, a representative office in New York and association agreements in Canada, Malaysia and Brazil.
As a result of these leadership elections, both David and Virginia will step down from their current posts and further announcements on the succession of these roles will be made later in the summer
Outgoing DAC Beachcroft Managing Partner, Paul Murray, said: "Simon and I would like to place on record our heartfelt congratulations to David and Virginia. Virginia's contribution to the growth of our commercial business and David's tenure of the insurance sector during a period of significant growth bear testament to the pair's leadership, resilience and business focus."
He added: "Both appointments will pave the way for new ideas and new drive to influence the firm's strategic direction but with the comfort of experience and rigour from such respected colleagues."
Outgoing Senior Partner, Simon Hodson, said: "After 10 years and two consecutive five-year terms in our respective roles, Paul and I are convinced that the business will benefit from new voices and new energy. Both of us will continue in our respective roles until November and so we will be on hand to ensure a smooth transition with the new leaders.
He continued: "We are pleased to leave DAC Beachcroft in a position of robust health and with an increasingly strong platform from which Virginia and David can continue to invest further in the future."
Virginia Clegg, Senior Partner elect at DAC Beachcroft, said: "I am delighted to be appointed as Senior Partner at this exciting point in the development of our business. I want to build on the firm foundations laid by Simon and Paul and work with David to ensure we have a high performing business that achieves its potential."
David Pollitt, Managing Partner elect at DAC Beachcroft, said: "Both Virginia and I are looking forward to leading our business through the next phase of its development. We are lucky to be taking over at this moment. The firm is in very good shape, full of talented people and supported by some fabulous clients. We will continue to seek growth and expansion, both nationally and internationally, in a very client focussed way."
"The business owes a lot to the strong leadership of Simon and Paul and, on behalf of the entire firm, I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to them both."
