International law firm DAC Beachcroft has been joined by employment specialist James Rhodes, who will be a partner in the national Employment and Pensions Group and head up the Leeds Public Health Employment team.
James returns to DAC Beachcroft from Capsticks, where he was an associate, having originally joined DAC Beachcroft in 2004, spending eight years with the firm until November 2012. Commenting on his appointment, James said: "I'm delighted to return to the firm where I have spent much of my career and which shaped my development as a health employment specialist. I'm excited at the prospect of further developing our health practice in the region as part of a large team of very talented and committed lawyers."
Paula Cole, National Head of the Employment and Pensions Group at DAC Beachcroft, added: “We are delighted to welcome James back. He has strong relationships with many of our important health clients and a wealth of knowledge of employment law issues in both the public and private healthcare market. James has a key role to play in the development of our health employment practice and will help strengthen further our position as the leading health employment team in Yorkshire.”
Specialising in advising clients in the health sector as well as other public sector bodies, James is described as a "notable practitioner" in Chambers 2014 and praised for his "commercial approach." James also has a strong record in complex litigation work arising from a range of issues, including discrimination and whistle-blowing.
