A Chartered Legal Executive from the Manchester office of international law firm DAC Beachcroft has been nominated as a finalist in the legal executive of the year category at the Manchester Legal awards 2014.
Morgan Nash, 31, from Stockport, has been employed at DAC Beachcroft as part of the Claims Validation Team since October 2010.
For the last two years, he has been the account manager for one of the firm's major Insurance sector clients. The account incorporates seven fee earners, a supervisor and two support staff and covers fraudulent claims in Motor, Employer Liability-Public Liability and also household injury claims.
Commenting on his nomination, Morgan said: "Being an integral part of the DAC Beachcroft claims validation team has given me the opportunity to develop my skills and grow as a legal executive at an expediential rate. The focus of my role is on client relationship, development and being the first port of call for our clients."
He added: "This nomination is a real honour, which I hope I can match by bringing home the win for the team!''
Ian McConkey, Regional Senior Partner at the Manchester office of DAC Beachcroft, said: "It's fantastic to see legal executives, who take a less traditional route into the field of law, being recognised for their invaluable contribution to the sector.
"This nomination is credit to Morgan's hard work and commitment and he would be a worthy winner of this accolade. We wish him the very best of luck."
Following a LLB Law and Politics degree, Morgan began working for an insurance company ten years ago, after which he worked for a small claimant solicitors firm, specialising in disease claims. He concentrated on Motor and EL/PL claims before moving to Halliwells six years ago, where he predominantly worked on EL/PL claims on behalf of insurers and supervised a small team.
The Manchester Legal Awards, backed by the Manchester Law Society and the Manchester Evening News are set to take place on Thursday 6 March at the city's Midland Hotel.
