DAC Beachcroft Appoints Two New Board Members

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Non-Executive Director and a new Group Finance Director.
David Gillard joins the firm today (14 April) as Group Finance Director.
An experienced finance and operations professional, David has previously worked for a string of multinationals, including Diageo, BAA and McVitie's, and has worked internationally for extended periods during his career. His most recent role was as Group Finance Director with the Oxford University Press during a period of immense growth and change, in part driven by digitisation.
In his new role at DAC Beachcroft, David will sit on the Board and will work closely with Managing Partner, Paul Murray.
In addition, Ken Lever, Chief Executive Officer of business processing, technology and procurement services company Xchanging, joins the DAC Beachcroft Board as a Non-Executive Director in May.
Ken was formerly a partner at Arthur Andersen and Finance Director at Alfred McAlpine plc, the international construction services group. He also spent eight years with Tomkins plc, the global engineering and manufacturing group formerly listed on the London and New York Stock Exchanges, before assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer for Switzerland-based Numonyx BV.
The appointments come after DAC Beachcroft last week announced the promotion of 16 new partners and 22 associates with effect from 1 May 2014.
Commenting on the dual appointments, DAC Beachcroft Senior Partner, Simon Hodson, said: "We are delighted to welcome David and Ken and are convinced that they have the experience, skills and energy to take our business to and through the next stage of its development."
