Considering the future of retail
Our purpose is to maximise the letting potential and capital value of our clients' retail portfolios. We have 13.8m sq ft of shopping centres under management, including four of the largest in the UK.
We provide development advice on the retail and leisure elements of centres, and see asset management as a core discipline. Our systematic approach and tried and tested systemised processes underpin a highly efficient way of working that can be adapted to align with each client's approach.
We act on all matters connected with development, lettings and management, including tenant relocations, pre-lets, applications for consent, lease variations and re-gears. Specialist dispute lawyers are fully integrated into the team and advise on a range of issues including vacant possession strategies, determination of tenancies, insolvency, dilapidations, forfeiture, debt recovery, breaches of covenant, and 1954 Act Lease renewals. Our dispute resolution experts are an integral part of our team.
We have won Hermes Investment Management, Best Lawyer, Hermes Responsible Investment award for last three years.
Our team advises on complex site assemblies, dealing with rights of light and boundary issues, obtaining vacant possession, highway and services diversions, negotiation planning and highway agreements, negotiating construction documentation and advising on procurement, joint ventures, sustainable development and zero carbon compliance.
Centre champions is a concept we introduced for our clients. The centre champion is an internal go-to person with responsibility for the documentation and tenant packs for each centre. Through proactive communication and regular reporting, we keep clients informed on the legal and commercial issues affecting the performance of each centre.
