Our marine, energy and transport insurance practice offers comprehensive legal advice across the full range of risk written in the marine market, including hull and machinery, freight, cargo and project cargo/DSU, as well as builders' risk, charterers' and ship repairers’ liability and related war and strikes, terrorism and political risk cover.

What we are known for

Our offshore energy practice includes both offshore construction and operating risk. We are familiar with issues under the common builders’ risk and Welcar construction wordings, and with operating wordings including the London standard drilling forms, the Nordic Plan (formerly the Norwegian Plan) and control of well EED 8/86.

The firm's lawyers have many years' experience handling claims arising from all forms of offshore energy exploration and production, involving both fixed platforms and mobile drilling and/or storage facilities, including drillships, jack-up rigs and FPSO's/FPDSO's. The firm’s practice is also complemented by its onshore team, with a wealth of experience in onshore pipelines, refineries and power generation.
