United States - further step taken towards implementation of Privacy Shield

On 24 February 2016, President Obama signed the Judicial Redress Act (H.R. 1428/S.1600) (the "Act") which would grant EU citizens the right to bring actions against the U.S. government for violations of their privacy, i.e. if their personal data is misused. This is part of the implementation of the EU-US Privacy Shield and is key to the finalisation of the EU-US data agreement.
