Italy - the Garante publishes FAQ guidance on controls and sanctions

The Italian Data Protection Authority (the Garante) has published guidance (the Guidance) on the controls and the sanctions that are provided for by the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (the Code).
The Guidance provides an overview of the administrative sanctions available to the Garante should a data controller or data processor be in breach of the Code and how the Garante conducts their proceedings. In particular the Guidance covers the main aspects of the sanctioning procedures.
