With the upcoming expiry of the existing Local Service Provider Agreements (the BT contract is due to expire towards the end of 2015 and the majority of deployments under the CSC contract expire mid-2016) those NHS trusts that have bought systems and services under the centralised contracts, and have not already begun to put in place arrangements for their replacement are fast running out of time to do so.
There is no certainty that these Local Service Provider arrangements will be extended again to allow organisations to migrate to new solutions, What then should NHS Trusts do in the short timeframe available to ensure that they are not left behind as NPfIT begins to further wind down to non-existence?
