The Argentinian DPA has adopted new data protection regulations (the Regulations) governing the use of CCTV and the recently introduced ‘Do Not Call’ registry.
The aim of the Regulations is to preserve the benefits of such practices whilst maintaining the right to privacy of data subjects and they implement new sanctions for the failure to comply with these measures.
Please click here to view the CCTV Regulations (Spanish).
Tele-marketing and CCTV practices for companies which have a presence in Argentina, should be reviewed in light of these Regulations.
