Japan - the basic act of cybersecurity passed by national diet

The National Diet of Japan on 6 November enacted the Basic Act of Cybersecurity (the Act). As well as establishing the Cybersecurity Strategy Headquarters, which will be responsible for the preparation, promotion, and implementation of cybersecurity strategic plans, the Act requires critical infrastructure and cybersecurity companies to implement cybersecurity policies in cooperation with central and local governments.
