What we do

GC Collective is a resource aimed solely at supporting GCs by offering insight, advice and peer support, as well as networking opportunities, training and mentoring for GCs and in-house legal teams. Through expert briefings, Q&As, mentoring and training, as well as networking opportunities to help you keep ahead of the latest challenges and flexible employment solutions to support your business, we’ll be with you every step of the way to keep your career, your team and your organisation evolving. Backed by years of experience and the resource of an international legal business with more than 2,200 people and coverage across the UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and North America, our offer for GCs is designed to add value and make a real difference.

Detailed elements of our service

• The GC Collective is an opportunity to meet other GCs, giving you support which may not be available in your business. Use our regular events including hot-topic discussions and networking sessions to keep ahead of the game, as well as learning from and interacting with your peers. Plus regular briefings from DAC Beachcroft’s expert in-house lawyers give you access to professional insight and analysis.
• Q&A sessionswith our lawyers, published here after being broadcast live for Collective members via Webex, are a chance to hear our, and other GCs’, views on key issues which affect you and your business.
• Training opportunitiesgive you and your team access to DAC Beachcroft and external experts, from seminars and workshops through to bi-annual GC conferences which contribute to your CPD hours.
• Our mentoring programmefor in-house legal teams gives your junior staff the opportunity to learn from sector and / or legal specialists.
• You can also support or supplement your legal team with our short term employment solutions service, run through the DAC Beachcroft People Pool.

Training

Training for both GCs and in-house legal teams is paramount. To help you stay ahead of the curve (and complete your CPD hours) we’ve developed a training programme of seminars, workshops and bi-annual conferences.

Conferences

Each year, we run two full-day conferences for general counsel, which count towards CPD hours. We will post upcoming conferences here.

Mentoring

Our mentoring scheme pairs junior members of your in-house legal team with experienced DAC Beachcroft lawyers who can advise, guide and help develop them in their careers within your business.
