Julia specialises in advising insurers on setting a strategy, both from a business perspective and on a case by case basis, for identifying and defending claims suspected to involve fraud.

She has over 20 years’ litigation experience and specialises in insurance fraud. Julia leads a team that delivers strategy for seven insurer clients, providing strategy guidance and advice depending upon their individual objectives and counter fraud needs.

As well as running a team, Julia is an Account Manager for two key clients, which involves identifying their individual needs, delivering training and utilising MI to report successes and savings. She also handles a large and varied case load of counter fraud cases with a range of case valuations.

She is also the point of contact with our Claims Handling Team in Newport and acts as a liaison working internally, linking our Counter Fraud Team with claims handling, providing strategic advice and guidance and assisting with fraud detection and prevention.

Relevant experience includes:

• Advising on a wide variety of cases across a large number of clients.
• Supporting two clients as Account Manager implementing a monthly CNF data reviews on one account in conjunction with organised fraud in order to focus on greater depth fraud detection.
• Julia has delivered training both internally to the DACB Claims Handling Teams and also to the insurers client teams on indicators and identification, triages cases and provides assessment of prospects. Significant savings have been delivered to the clients as a result.
• Julia regularly advises clients on market changes in Counter Fraud, using Know Your Opponent to tackle specific issues targeting her clients and analysis of MI to support clients in evolving their strategies on a reqular basis.
