Giles Taylor

Giles has advised in a wide variety of PFI and PPP schemes both domestically and nationally. He has advised all relevant participants: funders, SPVs, subcontractors and the public sector.  In total Giles has advised on more than 10 closed PFI projects and has led the team on over half of these.

Giles has worked on projects in the health, transport, energy, defence, accommodation, housing and energy sectors.  He has also worked on a number of international projects including projects in the Netherlands, Estonia, Croatia and Qatar.

Particular expertise in PFI/PPP accommodation projects particularly in the education sector including the Building Schools for the Future programme.

Giles also has industry experience from his time at Jarvis plc as a senior commercial manager.  At Jarvis Giles was responsible for closing Croydon Schools PFI and two university student accommodation projects with a combined capital value in excess of £100m.

Giles has also advised on a number of refinancings of existing PFI projects.

Deals include:

• advising Somerset County Council on its Building Schools for the Future programme
• advising the Home Office on its £1bn property outsourcing  transaction
• advising private sector consortium on a large number of closed PFI projects
