Anne advises public and private sector clients on a broad range of commercial contracting matters specialising in the Health sector. Anne has particular expertise in relation to major procurements particularly for IT and medical equipment managed service using competitive dialogue procedure. She is currently advising on a number of major procurements under the Equitable Access programme for GP led Health centres and on a number of joint ventures between NHS and independent providers for the delivery of clinical and associated service to NHS and private patients
Anne provides support to clients at all stages of the procurement process, including advice on EU procurement legislation and its application to "Part B" services. She provides pragmatic and commercial advice on tender documentation; avoiding or bringing challenges to process under EU and national law; compliance with internal governance and departmental requirements; legacy management; deal structure and negotiation; evaluation and award criteria and all issues arising during contract award, negotiation and subsequent implementation.
Anne also advises on research and development, particularly clinical trials and is an expert in data protection issues arising in connection with health informatics. She was a member of the working party established by the Nuffield Trust to examine the secondary use of patient data for medical research. Anne holds the ISEB qualification in data protection.
Anne regularly speaks at conferences and workshops on procurement and contracting issues arising in the commissioning and provision of NHS and private health care.
