DAC Beachcroft Named Insurance Team Of The Year

DAC Beachcroft's Insurance Team, led by partner David Pollitt, was last night named Insurance Team of the Year 2013 at the Legal Business Awards in London.

The accolade comes after the team was shortlisted for the same award last year while Senior Partner, Simon Hodson, and Managing Partner, Paul Murray, received the Management Partners of the Year prize.

Describing the firm's success, Legal Business commented: "DAC Beachcroft secured a high-profile success in a crucial challenge to the Court of Appeals’ original announcement in the personal injury case of Simmons v Castle. The Association of British Insurers estimated that the revised decision has saved the insurance industry £300m.”

The Legal Business Awards, held at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, is an annual event to recognise excellence in the legal sector. The awards are favoured by the industry's leading lawyers as the most prestigious and respected awards on the legal calendar.
